Things You Should Know

1. That God loves you  –  “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
2. That every person has sinned  –  “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
3. That the price for sin is death  –  “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”  (Romans 6:23)
4. That salvation is available  –  “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”  (Luke 19:10)
5. That you can be saved immediately  –  “…Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2)
6. That tomorrow offers no guarantees  –  “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” (James 4:14)
7. That you must have faith to be saved  –  “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9,10)
